What took so long?
Trust us! We have wanted this
change as long as you have! Back in 2004 when
Kennedy’s Country Collection was started as a sister company of Ohio Wholesale,
Inc., both companies were in separate cities and operating within separate
buildings. Of course there were also separate
shipping departments and accounting departments as well. Around 2008 we
made an effort to consolidate all of our products and staff into one building complex
to make operations more efficient. Unfortunately,
because all of our data from OWI and KCC was still separate from each other,
making OWI and KCC shippable together and able to be invoiced together was very
difficult for us.
We had been making many other improvements over the years
which resulted in putting this project on the backburner but we finally had the
opportunity to tackle it this year! While we are far
from done with our improvements, we hope that this major change in our
operation helps you in many ways. With less orders,
less shipments, less invoicing, etc. this should result in more savings – all
the while offering more product options! We hope you are as excited as we are
about this change!
How will this change affect my existing orders (placed prior
This change will only affect NEW orders. Due to the already separate order
numbers, PO numbers, shipping dates, etc., we are unable to merge existing
orders that were placed prior to 5-1-14.
Will I get 1 invoice or 2 invoices?
As long as all of the items on your order are available AND
shipping on the same date you should only receive 1 invoice. Due to our purchasing schedule, there
may still be occasions when Ohio Wholesale products are available prior to
Kennedy’s Country Collection products. In these situations, you may still
receive 2 shipments and 2 invoices.
Will this cause an increase in my shipping prices?
No! In fact, one of the
reasons we implemented this change is to help save on shipping costs. Now that we can put items from both
companies into one shipment, the total amount of boxes you receive from us
should decrease in many cases.
Will my shipments have a combined packing slip?
Yes! If products from
both companies ship together on one order, you will receive a packing slip with
both OWI and KCC items.
Will this change cause delays in shipping?
No, as long as the product you’ve ordered is in-stock, there
should be no delays associated with this change. We encourage all customers to accept
backorders because, if you do not, your order may be held up until all products
Will my minimum order amount go up?
No! For now, our
minimum will remain at $150.00 regardless of whether the order consists of OWI
product, KCC product, or product from both companies.
Does this new combined shipping include Countryside Finds?
No. Countryside Finds
is still a completely separate entity and will not be included in the combined shipping and
Will there only be one charge to my credit card?
Yes! Again, as long as
all of the items on your order are available AND shipping on the same date, you
should only receive 1 charge on your credit card.
Will this change affect my backorders?
No. This change should
not affect your backorders. Although backorders
will still be shipped when available, and if there are items backordered from
both companies, it is likely that you will receive these items together in one
